Chris started his professional art career in animation in 1981, working as a apprentice storyboard artist at Filmation Studios. Chris moved on to further TV and feature film work as a designer, doing character & production design, storyboards moving into special effects, working on many films thru the 80’s and 90’s. Moving on to graphics designer and head of screening for America’s Funniest Home Videos for seven seasons, where he wrote, produced & directed many “production videos.” After the birth of his children in 1998 and 2000, Chris concentrated his efforts to teaching art, leaving his movie career behind by volunteering as a docent with the Torrance Adventures in Art program in 2003. Chris has also done freelance art projects, doing private commissions and live painting demonstrations, and working for after school art programs. In 2012 started teaching private art lessons one on one with students. If he didn’t have enough on his plate, Chris started teaching earlier this year at the Da Vinci Innovation Academy as an on-site art teacher, and this year divides his Da Vinci teaching time with the Infinite Learning Enrichment Program as their art teacher. – Chris is a single father with two amazing teenage children!
