Greeting Families!
From Our Dean of Students

Hello Families,
I had such an incredible time at the Fall Festival last week! I especially enjoyed the cardboard carnival games, seeing the Kindness Movement in action with our new kindness walls, and bobbing for donuts :) I want to specifically thank new DV Connect parent Karen for organizing the entire event, and to Karla, Ruby, Heidi, and the many other parents who donated, helped set up/clean up, and created an environment of celebration and gratitude for our community to enjoy. Thank you, thank you! I am looking forward to our next FAN hosted event--Pizza and Spirit day THIS Mon-Wed! See details below.

You may have noticed that we are ramping up our social media presence for marketing and recruitment purposes ;) Please continue to follow/like/share us on Instagram at @dv_connect and find us on FB at @davinciconnect!

I have another request from you....if you are willing, I would love to share some photos of your homeschooling in action! It doesn't have to be a fancy field trip---it could be a photo of your kiddo's favorite cozy reading nook, or a photo of your homeschool space, or the view out of your window while you learn together...whatever speaks to you as a way to capture your homeschool experience, I want to see it! Send photos to ktoon@davincischools.org. Faceless photos are preferred as these will be posted on the social media mentioned above.

Thanks, and enjoy your weekend!

Germ Busters!
Students in Cores 1-3 reinforced their knowledge of germs and hand hygiene during a hand washing lab with a visit from a Core 3 mom who is a nurse by trade. They discussed the importance of covering our coughs and other ways to avoid sharing germs. Some "germ oil" was provided which glowed under a black light "germ box". After admiring their germy hands, kiddos washed with proper technique and got to look again to see if they missed any glowing areas. They all did great and we invite you to have your official germ buster show you the proper way to wash your hands at home!
