From Our Principal
Greetings Parents,

I have a lot to share this week! Thanks for reading!

  • I am beyond excited to hold an informational meeting about our DV Connect High School model! We are beginning with a pilot next year and have a lot to share. Join us after the Poetry Jam in the Forum this Wednesday:
  • Poetry Jam 3:30-5:00 (bring a poem you've written, read a published poem you love or just enjoy and celebrate our beautiful community being brave learners together!)
  • RSVP here! Connect HS Info Meeting 5:00-6:30 Hear from the team who has been studying this model for the past 6 months. We have a lot to share! Your input along the way has been helpful and heard! If your child is in 8th grade, he or she is encouraged to attend (it's about their journey after all).
  • Thank you for attending my Parenting for Autonomy workshops this week. Part 3 is coming just in time to practice during Spring Break and attendance at the first meetings aren't necessary to jump in! We will be focusing next on practical strategies at home and what we see at school that you can address at home! Next workshop: April 11 and 12, 9:30-11:00 (choose one).
  • Thank you to the Kelly Johnson and Family for treating our staff to a delicious breakfast during our March 15th Professional Development Day! We enjoyed every bite--thank you!
  • Summer Camp sign ups are here! You've been asking so we created a line up of 3 awesome experiences. Check out the flyer and register here!

Enjoy your week!

On behalf of the entire DV Connect staff, I'd like to extend a huge Thank You to the Johnson family for providing us with home-baked goods and fruit to energize us during our Professional Development day on the 15th! Everything was delicious and we are full of gratitude!

We are looking forward to seeing everyone at the Poetry Jam on Wednesday, and appreciate the hard work that's been put in to planning ALL our FAN events this year!

Work Journal #4 Due Date
Friday, April 5 by 4 pm
Please note that Work Journal #4 is due on the last day of the work journal period! This is due to mandatory state attendance reporting deadlines. Thank you for making sure we receive your work journal on Friday, April 5. If you turn in Work Journal #4 late, DV Connect will not collect funding for the entire six weeks of this work journal period. This could result in us needing to implement monthly work journals next year. (Some of you remember the good olí days of 9 work journals!) Thank you for helping us keep the number of work journals down!
