Greetings, DVIA Families!
From Our Principal

Greetings Families!

I first of all want to tell you that I am so excited to spend the evening with so many of you next Monday night for our Adult Mixer! We've got a great list of parents attending already along with students hanging out at Pump It Up. I hope to see you there! You can check out the blurb below and preview the auction items in the Forum tomorrow!

A few of you have asked me some logistical questions about next year so I thought I would share what I know now:

  • Some of you have asked if DVIA will be holding summer camp again this year! Our team is meeting this week to discuss in more detail but the answer is likely yes! Dates, times and themes to be determined! I will have more information in a week or two.

  • The 2018-2019 calendar must be board approved and synced with the other Da Vinci Schools. While it hasn't been board approved yet, I know that planning your summer is important, so here is what I can tell you with a relative degree of confidence: It is likely that homeschooling will begin around August 15th with classes on campus beginning approximately one week later. One change I am considering for next year is giving families a chance to ease into the school year with some homeschool planning and support from teachers. More info to come pending board approval but I hope this is helpful for now!

  • You've also asked whether we will be on our current campus or moving to the Del Aire Campus (former site of Da Vinci Design and Da Vinci Communications) in the fall. The answer is that we don't know yet. These are decisions that are complex and involve many factors. As soon as I know a definite answer, I will be sure to share!
Thank you and enjoy your week!

Hello Families! I am SO excited for the Adult Mixer and Auction coming up on the 12th! Everyone involved in planning has worked incredibly hard to put together an awesome party to celebrate the DVIA community! If you haven't yet been to Strand Brewery, it's a great place to be, and happens to be owned by one of our DVIA families! If beer isn't your thing, we will also have a wine bar available...and a taco truck! What could be better?!
If spending some fun adult time together isn't enough, we have also collected some incredible auction items for our silent auction! Anyone who wins an auction item will automatically have their donation matched by our Chevron matching program through the Annual Giving Campaign. Every penny counts, and Annual Giving donations go directly back in to our schools!

Pre-sale tickets to this event are available online now (see below for more info) and you can purchase tickets in person on Wednesday 3/7 from 12:15-2:30 in the Forum! There will also be sample auction items for your perusing ;)

Many staff members and I will be attending, and we hope to see you there!
