Greetings DVIA Families!

A Few Words From Our Director

Hello Everyone!

Moms, I hope you enjoy this Mother's Day. I appreciate all that you do and the choices your family makes in order to be part of the DVIA family :^)

This week the DVIA staff had so much to be thankful for! We appreciate your outpouring of thanks during Teacher Appreciation week. The amazingly thoughtful and delicious breakfast on Wednesday was wonderful! We felt very spoiled and grateful. Thank you for giving us such an inspiring place to work!

Congratulations to the students who participated in Friday Night's musical theater performance of Treasure Island. Well done! Please remember that the enrichment program has ended for the year.

If you have a daughter in 2nd through 8th grade, please consider having her join the Femineers! My daughter attended yesterday's event hosted by Da Vince Science's Society for Women Engineers and she had a blast! There were nearly 20 DVIA students and they had a great time meeting 9th and 10th grade DVS students while being introduced to the fascinating world of enginnering. They made an egg drop experiment, built boats and much more. Please refer to the flyer in the last two newsletters for future dates and to RSVP in advance.

Have a great week!

Tyler's Two Cents

tyler two cents Families,

This Thursday and Friday are Pizza/Spirit Days for May. The theme for these days are Decade Dress Up Day. We are asking students to dress in the attire of their favorite decade (i.e., 70s = Hippie) or to dress up in clothing that their parents would have worn when they were younger.

So, bring out some old pictures of yourselves as kids and have fun dressing them up as your "Mini-Me." Thanks for all your efforts to create school spirit and community throughout our DVIA.

Have a great week!
