Greetings DVIA Families!
A Few Words From Our Principal
Recently a few of you have wondered how the Annual Giving Donations are used at DVIA. Thank you for asking! I would love to take a moment to tell you how important your donation is to our school, no matter the size! We use your Annual Giving dollars to do so many things! You have probably noticed that while many schools have phased out or significantly reduced their art program, DVIA has done just the opposite. We have a dedicated classroom space (once upon a time art happened in a tent at DVIA!), lots of great supplies for both art and "making"/makerspace and three inspiring and dedicated staff members, Cordula, Mr. Mason and Jim. We couldn't have this space without your donations! Our teachers also receive project and classroom budgets so that they can buy the supplies needed to stock their classrooms full of great learning materials and project supplies. And even though our class size is only 20 students per class, we also have amazing academic coaches who support students while they learn and play!
There is a $500 per student gap between state dollars and what we need to operate the high quality program that we provide. Your donations ensure that programs like art/maker, campus equipment and supplies, Parent Educator Conferences, academic coach support in classes, and teacher budgets are all possible. Thank you for any donation you can make and as a reminder, your donation will be matched (that means doubled!!!) before March 31st.
I hope you will join my family in donating. Our current family participation rate is 24%. No matter the size of your donation, knowing that 100% of families want all of our programs to continue and therefore donate to keep them in place means a lot!
Thank you for being part of our DVIA family and enjoy your week!
From Our Dean of Students
We are so excited that Exhibition is right around the corner! Spring Exhibition will be held on Monday 3/21 and Tuesday 3/22 from 5:00-6:30pm. Please note your student's presentation times, and check in with your classroom teacher if you have any questions about the evening. Please remember that student presenters must be in Exhibition attire (professional business clothing from head to toe), unless otherwise specified by their classroom teacher. Also, we need any name tags that accidentally made it home in the fall to make their way back to their classrooms ASAP. We look forward to seeing you and sharing the successes of our students at this incredible event!
Have a great week!

Can you help us?
Do you own or have access to a torch? Do you also have
some free time and want to help Kaitlin play with fire? We are needing to melt some sharp edges of plastic on some toys that have been created for us before we use them with students. If you can help with this (during a non-student time), please reach out to Kaitlin ASAP! Thanks!
Annual Giving Campaign--Double Your Donation Now Through 3/31
Time is running out to double your donation! We are so grateful to those families who have already donated,
yet our DVIA giving participation stands at 24% to date. We are seeking 100% family participation. Your contribution provides immediate support to Da Vinci's top priorities. This year we have a $500 per student gap between what the state provides and what it really costs to deliver an outstanding Da Vinci education.
