Greetings, DVIA Families!
A Few Words from Our Principal
The Cardboard Carnival this weekend was awesome! Our students are so creative and your support for your children and everyone else's makes our community so special. Thank you! Can't wait to see what your kiddos come up with for the Science Fair on April 22nd! Start planning now!
Three quick announcements this week:
1) Please please please take our survey! Only 30 of you have done it and we really want to hear from at least 150 of you! Your feedback is really important and helps us reflect on our program. Thank you! Survey link HERE.
2) I am so excited to announce that due to the hard work of our Collaborative teachers, Janette and Ethel, the dedication and inspiration of our Collaborative families (kiddos and parent educators!), and the interest expressed in our Collaborative program, we have been approved to expand! Next year we will be serving approximately 75-90 kiddos in the Collaborative program (this year we served ~60). That also means we are hiring a third teacher. The selection process is well underway and we look forward to introducing a new member of the team at the end of the year.
3) DVIA Summer Camp is here! We received input from students across all grade levels and are excited to announce the following themes: Minecraft Pokemon (because DVIA kids LOVE both of those so why not roll them into one!), Flight, Fright and Might (science madness and fun!) and Mythical Creatures (art, imagination and creation!). Led by our Hybrid Core 3 teachers, Darlene and Megan, we are offering three full weeks of all day fun for DVIA students and their school-age siblings in current grades Kindergarten through 8th (sorry but no incoming kinders during camp--the long and busy days are hard for kiddos who are new to school). Our camps fill up quickly so reserve your spot in our front office starting Monday, March 27th after 12pm. See our flyer for more info!
