Greetings DVIA Families!

A Few Words From Our Director

Hello Everyone!

Thank you to all the families who came out today to do some final work on our front yard! Your time and enthusiasm is appreciated!

I also want to celebrate this year's Talent Show & Art Walk as well as the Full Time Independent Study program's Art Walk & Film Festival. So much talent and great work presented by our students! Thank you as well to the volunteers who spent countless hours preparing, organizing, setting up, working the booths and cleaning up afterwards! Thank you to the Glasser family for your amazing work envisioning the show. Thank you to student Kian S for your hard work on the DVIA app!

I also want to take a moment to ask families to please make sure that your children are actively engaged in our community events, particularly when our students are performing. It takes so much courage to step on stage or prepare a table representing their work. At the talent show there was a lot of running around, shouting and "disengaged" activity within earshot of the performances. Please help prepare your children to be engaged and supportive audience members. It really makes a difference!

Have a great week!

It is truly our desire to make graduation a special culminating event at DVIA to honor our parents and students, so please take the time to see if your son or daughter would be interested in participating in a more formal way for this amazing event.
