Greetings DVIA Families!
A Few Words From Our Director
It was great to see so many of you at Movie Night! Thank you for joining us. Our community events are always such a great reminder of the amazing family we have here at DVIA. Thank you for sharing your family with us and thank you to so many volunteers who made the event possible...from organizing, to running games, crafts and face painting, to selling pizza and goodies, to coordinating the donated big screen...you all did so much to make the event possible. Thank you!
It was also a pleasure spending time with so many of you (170 students and parents) at the Core 3 Wishtoyo Chumash Village overnight and day trip on Thursday/Friday. Again, an amazing example of how awesome our community is. Thank you Ceci for your tireless efforts coordinating such a huge event!
That time of year has arrived when time slips between our fingers! Exhibition is here and we are so excited to see your learners sharing what they know! Please have your child on campus just before 5:00 and ready to present or visit classes (per the schedule your teachers provided). We ask that families, friends and students visit multiple classrooms (not just their own) so that students can have an audience of various people they do and do not know. Thank you and have a great week!
Who is ready for a new DVIA T-shirt!?
One of our talented art teachers, Cordula Allen, has created a design for a new DVIA shirt and we need your help to pick a shirt color for this new design!
During Exhibition this week, pictures of prospective colors will be displayed on our marble run (near the center of campus). Please stop by and vote for your preferred shirt color. We will tally the votes after Exhibition and have T-shirts available for purchase at the start of 2nd semester.
Thanks and have a great week!
