The Banning Museum
CA- Rancho Period Lifestyle: The Banning Museum engages visitors in a living history experience, showing how the Banning family lived, worked, and entertained. Through its educational programs, it gives third, fourth and ﬁfth-graders opportunities to experience life in the 19th century, enriching their curriculum.

The Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA)
Guided Visits for School Groups to increase students’ powers of perception and stimulate interest in the visual arts and our multicultural heritage. School tours are led by LACMA’s trained art docents, who engage students in active looking and discussion focusing on a select number of works in the collection. Tours are aligned with state content standards for history/social science and language arts and the new core curriculum. Free with NexGen membership.
El Segundo Museum of Art (ESMoA)
Age-tailored school programs that stimulate creativity and interest in art. Students engage in a variety of multi-sensory forms of expression including sketching, movement, pair–sharing, and group discussion. They make personal connections, incorporate problem solving, and spark critical thinking using the art on display as a primary source. In addition, students use various materials to create their own piece of art inspired by the Experience.
Natural History Museum (NHM)
Free admission days on first Tuesdays of most months. NHM offers four Homeschool Days per year, where each day has an assigned theme with free drop-in activities designed to help you and your students get the most out of their exhibits.
CA Science Center
Get Hands-on experience at the The Big Lab – With 32,000 square feet of WIDE-OPEN space and GIANT customized activities, students will conduct ENORMOUS investigations, make HUGE discoveries, and have MASSIVE amounts of FUN through inquiry and exploration. Explore a variety of science concepts on their Homeschool days, featuring age-appropriate activities available on select days throughout the school year.
Griffith Park Observatory & Planetarium
