Jennifer Laferriere came to Southern California six years ago after living all over the country as a military dependent child and spouse. She fell in love with the almost always-awesome weather and the incredible view of the ocean around the Palos Verdes Peninsula, and with her three children in high school, decided it was time to put down roots and develop a new career. Flash forward to the present and she is teaching after earning a Special Education credential through National University and those three children are all in college. Jennifer is excited to join the DVIA family and continues to be amazed by the warm welcome and support she has received. Having been very involved in her own children’s education, but never having considered full-time home-schooling, she finds the innovative approach to blended home and campus schooling to be extremely appealing. When not trying to catch up with work and completing her Master’s, Jennifer enjoys hiking, walking along coastal trails, cooking big meals (experimenting with international recipes) doing 1000 piece puzzles, and drinking coffee at her favorite Starbucks with an ocean view.
