Rita is a founding parent/Educator at Da Vinci Innovation Academy. She loves being part of a team that strives to create a laernng environment where students develop a strong foundation for the project/problem based learning students experience at all Da Vinci Schools. She has many, years of experience in public, charter, and private school settings where she developed her skills to facilitate learning through project based education. She received her B.S. in Geology from Cal State Dominguez Hills and her teaching credential through Cal State University, Los Angeles. What Rita likes most about Da Vinci is how much children, parents, and teachers are valued as creative thinkers and trusted to learn the skills to continue their own development as learners. She lives in Hawthorne with her husband Gary, and their daughter, Marcelle.
